Protecting vehicular firmware against unauthorized tampering, tuning exploits, and supply chain corruption.
At power-on, the AutoHSM hardware core releases its internal reset while holding the vehicle's main application CPU in reset. The HSM calculates the SHA-256 hash of the application flash and validates the OEM digital signature before allowing the main engine or braking software to execute.
Firmware packages received over cellular links are decrypted on-the-fly using hardware keys, verified against OEM root certificates, and flashed to passive memory partitions, enabling atomic rollback if installation faults occur.
